Mull from Iona
Exploring the Isle of Iona, I came onto the beach known as Traigh Ban nam Manach, ‘White Strand of the Monks’.
From here, the view across to Mull was breathtaking. There is little detail to see when viewing an island across such distance, but the changes from light to dark, from sea to land and then to see everything meld into the sky gave rise to a rich palette of greys and blues.
The stark white beach is scattered with small, stones and seaweed which adds further detail to an already rich and varied image.
