The Glen Lonan valley is what is known as a “thin place”, a place of energy where the veil between this world and the eternal world is fused. You can walk, or in my case cycle, on the rim of these two worlds.

My experience of this valley was so spiritual that it gave shape to my quest of the Old Kings Road.

“Company of Witches” depicts a high mound of green moss covered with

dark, imposing conifer trees. In these trees, the crows sat and championed me loudly for my travels. As I looked over my shoulder towards this hallowed place, I thought to myself… “There are witches in there”.
